Overview

Callysto Meditation is a meditation app. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

Information We Collect

Account information

When you create an account, we collect your email address. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the email address and name associated with that account. We do not receive your Apple or Google password.

Usage data

We track the total amount of meditation time you have completed. This is used to manage the allowed meditation time before requiring a log in or sign up. This data is stored locally on your device and associated with your account.

Technical data

Our servers receive standard request metadata (such as IP address and request timestamps) when the app fetches meditation sounds and daily insights. We do not log or retain this data beyond what is required for normal server operation.

To allow a trial before requiring a log in or sign up.
To deliver meditation sounds and daily insights from our servers
To display your meditation statistics within the app

We do not use your information for advertising. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Third-Party Services

Firebase (Google)

We use Firebase Authentication, provided by Google, to securely manage sign-in. When you create an account or sign in, your authentication information is processed by Firebase. Firebase's privacy policy is available at firebase.google.com/support/privacy.

If you sign in with Apple, your authentication is handled by Apple. Apple's privacy policy is available at apple.com/legal/privacy.

If you sign in with Google, your authentication is handled by Google. Google's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.

Data Storage

Meditation sounds and daily insights are cached locally on your device in the app's private storage. This data does not leave your device except to be fetched from our servers. Authentication credentials are managed securely by Firebase and are not stored in plain text on your device.

Data Retention

Your account and associated data are retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at the email address below. Upon deletion, your personal information will be removed from our systems within 30 days.

Children's Privacy

Callysto is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

Access the personal information we hold about you
Correct inaccurate information
Request deletion of your information
Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
